Technical Project Manager

Opportunity: TPM445 - Permanent

As a Technical Project Manager with Transcontinental Interactive, you will work with our professional team of account managers, programmers and creative staff to execute innovative email marketing and web-based marketing programs and product solutions.


You will be responsible the end-to-end management of technical projects leading the planning, execution, monitoring, controlling & closing phases for a wide range of Transcontinental Interactive initiatives.

Key Accountabilities and Essential Functions Include:
  • Manage critical and complex migrations tasks moving existing solutions from our existing product platform to the next generation platform
  • Understand business needs & objectives as they relate to migration of client projects – includes coordination of multiple stakeholders from different functional areas (technology, quality control, account management, support)
  • Work closely with a multi-disciplinary development team to ensure the projects in development meet stakeholder requirements
  • Manage budgets for projects to ensure profitability and deadlines are met.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans & documentation
  • Understand and incorporate scale, security, and architecture considerations into the project requirements and concepts
  • Manage project scope & change requests with the ability to understand & communicate impacts to project requirements, timelines & budget
  • Produce weekly/monthly project status reports on all projects being managed
  • Interface with clients
  • Deliver exceptional customer service
  • Manage external vendors (project by project basis)
  • Seek customer feedback during and immediately after engagements. Act on feedback in a timely manner as required.
  • Show a commitment to continual self-improvement in order to learn and stay current with project management methodologies
  • Understand the software development lifecycle (a must)
  • Communicate & collaborate effectively & clearly with other functional teams
Qualifications / Experience:
  • At least 4 years of project management experience in Web, Interactive Agency or IT industry
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Formal education in project management an asset
  • Experience developing project scope and quotes for projects
  • Effective time-management skills and ability to organize and prioritize workload.
  • Understands quality management, risk management and mitigation
  • Clear understanding of software development life cycles, relational databases, and web technologies
  • Understanding of Database Marketing - Segmentations and counts, list queries, campaign management
  • Strong understanding of online communication and online technologies.
  • Experience working and communicating with clients
  • Ability to translate clients’ business objectives into technical solutions
  • Effective client relationship management and demonstrated experience in a client-facing role
