EMS Specialist

Opportunity: EMS1444 - Permanent

As an EMS Specialist you will be responsible for the HTML coding, setup, testing and deployment of client email marketing campaigns.


You will be expected to work in a fast paced environment where timelines are often tight. Your strong problem-solving skills and your attention to detail will be critical to your success in this position.

Responsibilities:
  • Hand code HTML
  • Hand code VBScript
  • Regularly update HTML code to meet our approved best practice standards
  • Deploy and evaluate test emails in a variety of email clients to ensure quality
  • Work with database files to ensure proper cleansing of records
  • Build database queries using our product user interface to pull specified segmented lists for more complex email broadcasts
  • Provide post-deployment reports to the client
  • Assist Account Managers and Project Managers in developing email marketing system solutions including databases, online forms and triggered broadcasts
  • Assist in overall management of marketing programs with other departments to ensure our client's email marketing objectives are met
  • Manage a number of client campaigns simultaneously and ensure all deadlines are met
  • Complete quality assurance checks for campaigns you have created & those created by the team
Requirements:
  • Intermediate HTML skills required
  • Intermediate CSS skills required
  • Experience with VBScript coding preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Access preferred
  • Strong technical understanding of email deployment mechanisms
  • Strong knowledge of the Internet and email clients
  • Experience with some form of email campaign management system, a strong asset
  • Photoshop skills is a strong asset
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Commitment to client service and relationship building
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to rapidly acquire an understanding of new technologies
